TaxKiln US is committed to ensuring this site is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We apply the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our standard.

    Conformance status

TaxKiln US aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We self-evaluate against these criteria and address issues as they are identified.

    What we have implemented

    • A skip-to-main-content link is the first interactive element on every page
    • Pages use semantic HTML landmarks: navigation, main content, and footer regions are properly identified
    • All interactive elements are keyboard-accessible with visible focus indicators
    • Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components)
    • Images and icons include descriptive alternative text, or are marked as decorative where they convey no information
    • Every page has a unique, descriptive title
    • The site is written in plain English with a US reading audience in mind

    Known limitations

Financial calculation examples on guide pages are displayed as pre-formatted text. While readable by screen readers, the structured layout within complex multi-step calculations may not fully convey row and column relationships in all assistive technology configurations. We are working to improve the markup of these sections.
